Panorama of Calcutta

One of the first films made in India features scenes of Kolkata (Calcutta) ghats, viewed from a boat journeying along the Hooghly River, a branch of the Ganges. Although the title claims it was filmed in Calcutta, the actual scenes were shot in Varanasi, a city also located on the Ganges.
