American falls from above, American side

"New Niagara Falls series: The following subjects were all taken on the latest and most improved clear stock during December 1896, and should not be confounded with former negatives, which were not entirely satisfactory. Shows glittering ice background and a group of photographers preparing to take pictures"--Maguire & Baucus catalogue, Jan. 20, 1897.
