Our day

Documents a day-in-the-life of the Kelly family in Lebanon, Kentucky, 1938. This film contains images of small-town Southern life, that counter the stereotype of impoverished people eking out a living during the depression. It portrays a modern home inhabited by adults with sophisticated interests (the piano, literature, croquet) and simple ones (gardening, knitting, and home cooking).
